These tuners, which we now use our Custom Mele ukuleles, are getting rave reviews from all over. They are far superior to most for several reasons, including:
1. The posts are the correct length for ukulele, rather than guitar, so they don’t stick out too far or require multiple string wraps.
2. They are much lighter than most geared tuning machines and don’t cause your instrument to “neck dive”.
3. The top-quality precision machined gears and die-cast baseplates result in very smooth, easy, accurate and stable tuning.
They are custom made for us in the same factory as certain big-name brands costing up to four times the price. Pk. of four tuners includes 4 bushings and 8 screws. 5/16″ drill bit and taper reamer or similar tool recommended for installation, as bushings are slightly tapered.
